Aubrey Aden-Buie is a multimedia journalist and filmmaker. She is currently a video reporter at Mashable in NYC and was named one of Cynopsis Media's Top Women in Digital in 2016. Her work has been published with The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, Special Olympics, Fox Sports, NPR, and more.
Her multimedia project What is Home? explored the lives of people living in shacks in South Africa two decades after the end of Apartheid, and won the Online Journalist Award for Best Student Project in 2014.
Aubrey was a producer on Our Dream, a documentary in five chapters shot in five countries of Central and Eastern Europe, aimed at increasing the visibility of discrimination against Europe’s Roma community. Her team's chapter, A Tale of Two Villages, won Best Director at the Golden Wheel Festival in Skopje.
